How to Make a Claim with GapOnly™

  1. Check Your Insurance Provider – Confirm your insurance company is listed as a GapOnly™ partner. Ensure they have your pet’s full medical history to prevent delays. You can also request a pre-approval with an estimate from us to understand the gap amount ahead of time. Pre-approval ensures the treatment or procedure is covered under your policy and provides clarity on your out-of-pocket costs.
  2. Notify Us – Let us know you’d like to submit a GapOnly™ claim before your pet’s consultation, surgery, or treatment.
  3. We Submit the Claim – We’ll lodge a GapOnly™ claim on your behalf, which is typically assessed within 10 minutes. However, it may take longer if your insurance provider requires additional details or pet history.
  4. Pay the Gap and Go – Once the claim is approved, you simply pay the gap between your insurance benefit and our invoice. It’s that easy!

Availability of GapOnly™ Service

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Unavailable on Public Holidays

If GapOnly™ is unavailable during your visit, we can still process your claim the traditional way. An electronic claim can be submitted, and the benefit will be reimbursed directly to you by your insurance company.

Important Note

GapOnly™ services are only available in-clinic unless your claim has been pre-approved for at-home visits (due to the processing time required). For at-home visits, we can submit an electronic claim for all insurance companies except PetPlan and RACQ, where the reimbursement is paid directly to you by your insurance provider.
